Sick as a Dog

I found out yesterday that my uncle, my Dad's only brother, had a stroke. I, of course, immediately knew I had to make him a card. My uncle is a fun-loving guy for whom a mushy get-well card just wouldn't work. I love the images on the Paper Pups cricut cart so I decided to cut out this little guy.

The challenge this week at A Spoon Full of Sugar is beads. I didn't want to use pearls...wanted to do something different. So I decided to use these little beads to make the pup's comforter. Gives a different look and another texture. The layout is based on Little Paper Shop's sketch. DP is K&Company....embossing folder is CB herringbone.

This card was inspired by all of the following challenges.

Papertake - buttons, bows, brads, or bling

Tuesday Taggers - swirls and curls -- Crafty Individuals is the sponsor this week

Color Q - color challenge

Lexis Creations - anything goes

Crafty Ann's - new technique

C.R.A.F.T - ribbon and sparkles

Crafty Catz - fancy edge and ribbon

Stamp Something - designer paper, button, ribbon

Crazy 4 - 3 different textures

Just Buggin' - dry embossing

Raise the Bar - 3 different designer papers

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek at my sick pup! :)

Nearly forgot to let you know - you've linked Lexi's Creations to the Crafty Ann challenge instead of your own blog, I wouldn't want you to miss out on visitors. If you want to re-link, I can sort the other one out.

I was sorry to hear about your uncle. Fingers crossed it is a minor stroke and that with some TLC and possible physio he get back to rights very very soon.

Onto your card. Well it's certainly got humour and perfect to cheer a man up.

Thank you for taking the time to enter this into the Crafty Ann's Challenge this fortnight. I was lucky enough to be a Guest Designer this month so I am looking at all the lovely creations and seeing how others interpreted the challenge.
