First Baby Card

This is the first opportunity I have had to try and make a baby card. The only cricut cartridge I have with any baby cuts is Wild Card. The ducks and safety pins are both from that cart. I embossed with the Cuttlebug folders Herringbone and Swiss Dots. The scalloped oval is a nestabilities. I have entered this card in the A Spoon Full of Sugar freestyle challenge for this week.

White on White Challenge - Valentine - Easel Card

This is my first easel card. However, I made this card for the Charisma white on white challenge this week. The card also meets the criteria for a few other challenges listed below.

I really liked the challenge of using all white and then using textures and ribbon and glitter to still give the card an alive look...I know it looks frosty and cold but I hope you can feel a warmth emanate from the card with the hearts popping.

I used George for the heart, cuttlebug embossing folders Swiss Dots and Divine Swirls, and a Fiskars border bunch. Tacked on a couple of pearls and some stickles and voila! A tad of color was allowed, so I did my sentiment in Chianti red (allowed me to meet the Caardvarks challenge). :)

Thanks for taking the time to stop on by.........

Challenges

Charisma - white on white

Magical Crafts - valentine's

Candy Shoppe - new Fiskars punch

Double Dutch - frozen or frosty

Crafty Cardmakers - hearts and romance

A Spoon Full of Sugar - freestyle

Creative Belli - hearts

Crative Card Crew - punches

Your Next Stamp - anything that sparkles

Caardvarks - use red with hearts

This card was created using the Wild Card cartridge and was cut at 5". Spring Love

Here is my latest card. I designed it using the Pixie Cottage sketch for this week. Then I just kind of went from there. I just got my first set of Nestabilities today (labels 9)....I got a smoking deal on them at JoAnn's for 50% off!!!!....so I just HAD to use them....which I did using my CB to cut out the shapes.

Both stamps are stamps I haven't used in years. I colored with chalks and a dove blender; distressed with Tim Holtz's distress ink Peeled Paint. Then added stickles too.

The polka dot paper is from a new My Mind's Eye stack I also bought today. This stack has some of the greatest papers! The heart paper is K&Company. The flower was cut with a CB die cut. I figure this card could be used for V-Day but wouldn't have to be....

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

Pile it on - Warm wishes
Crafty Cardmarkers and Candy Shoppe and Raise the Bar - new Nestibilities and new DP
Creative Inspiration - Distressing
Little Paper Shop - Valentine's
Incy Wincy - chalks with dove blender
Papertake - predominantly pink
Quixotic - ink up an old stamp
Your next stamp - stamp with sparkling
Charisma - 3 fruity colors (yellow - banana; green - grapes; pink - rasberries)
Crafty Ann's - embossing (embossed with Nestabilities)
All Sorts - hearts and flowers
Crazy 4 - pink color scheme
Thanks for looking!

Love Puppy

I decided to stray from the pink and red Valentine's Day cards and do something a little different. There was a green, blue, and white challenge that inspired me to try and think outside of the box but still have love and hearts so it can be given to someone on V-day.

I used my cricut (of course). Storybook for the scalloped oval, PDDU for the grass, and Paper Pups for the dog and the words.

This card is for the following challenges:

Crafty Creations- Valentine or love

Fab 'n' Funky - blue, green, white

AiFactory - 5 embellishments (5 heart brads)

Crafty Ann's - embossed (oval is embossed using Cuttlebug)
Caardvarks - red heart

Crafty Cardmakers and Raise the Bar - PDDU is new for me

Thanks for looking...I hope the puppy brings a smile to your lips!

Wintery Card

At first when I saw challenges for wintery cards, I was simply not able to even think about it. I mean, I live in Arizona...southern Arizona...just doesn't get wintery here. However, today it has been really windy. It takes the word blustery to a whole new level. And...it's cold outside today! So I made this wintery S-Fold card to meet 7 challenges. Cricut cartridge used was Christmas Noel. The challenges are as follows:
Fussy and Fancy - Winter
Creative Card Crew - Punches (small snowflakes)
Cricut Cardz - S-Fold; Thinking of You
Play Date Cafe - Cold; blue and white
Your next Stamp - anything that sparkles
Just Buggin - monochromatic
Paper Play - use handwriting (UGH!) "thinking of you" was handwritten (Ugh! again!!)
That's it for now.
Thanks all of you challenge sites for the great fun!

Valentine's Day Card

I made this card using a heart stamp, stamped in hot pink and embossed with translucent glitter embossing powder. The background circle is embossed using my Cuttlebug. The heart is layered 3 times. The string of pearls is glued down. The oval is cut using George.

This card was created to meet the following challenges:

A Spoon Full of Sugar - lots of layering

Papertake - predominantly pink

Crazy 4 - sketch

Lexy's bandage came off tonight, and she is starting to walk with some weight on her left leg. Yeah!

Sick Dog - Quick Note Card

My dog is sick...she won't walk on her right front leg. We had a vet's appointment this afternoon and I threw this together while waiting so I wouldn't sit around just worrying about her. They did a little surgery on her foot (removed a nail), cauterized it, and now it's wrapped up in a big bandage. I'll know in 3-4 days if she is ok. My poor baby. Please say a prayer for her...she is so not her normal happy self.

Anyway, I decided to incorporate a couple of challenges while I was at it.

Mercy's Sketch - sketch

Incy Wincy - colour with any medium (I used chalks)

Stamping Vacation - Pick 3 (I picked colors for spring; flower, and butterfly....also no specific ocassion)

Thanks for stopping by.....

Birthday Card using PDDU

I made this card today for my 15-year old niece's birthday. I decided to try my cricut cardtridge Paper Doll Dress Up and make a little doll of her. I used Storybook for 'Birthday Girl' and used the Cuttlebug for the doll's dress...just to make it a little fancier.

I did the Pick 3 from Stamping Vacation. I picked the Designer Paper (about the uniqueness of my niece), added a couple of gems, and distressed the paper in brown (lots of brown birds in the sky here).

Thanks for looking.

Musical Valentine's Day Card

Happy Saturday Evening all you creative crafters out there,

OK...here was my latest project. My goal was to make a Valentine's Day card (funny because none of the challenges were for Valentine's Day, per se...lol) using as many challenges as possible. Thanks to Pile it On for getting me obsessed with doing this.

I started with a sketch and then "piled it on" from there:

Quixotic - sketch

Creative Card Crew - distressing - all edges were distressed with Tim Holt distress inks

ABC Challenge - layering

Creative Belli - Glitter and rhinestones (stickles and rhinestones)

Corrosive Challenge - Distressing

Your Next Stamp - embossing and a stamp (stamp was embossed with red embossing powder)Crafty Ann's Friday - embossing

Daring Cardmakers - hole in one (eyelets)

Frosted Designs - eyelets

One Stop Craft - fancy edges and corners

Penny's Paper - Chalks (heart was colored inside with chalks)

Kraftin' Kimmie - pink, red, chocolate and hearts

All Sorts - brown and pink

Secret Crafter - Musical (musical note brad and musical staff in stamp)

2redBananas - round

Pals Paper - inspiration = pink, white, chocolate

I also used cricut cartridges Storybook (for scalloped circles) and Beyond Birthdays (for "love").

Thanks for looking! Have a great night/day!!

Cat Lover's Card

Hi,

I started out this card using the sketch from Fab n Funky for this week. I then tried to incorporate some of the other challenges:

Just Buggin - kitty was cut from Animal Kingdom

Paper Play - furry friends

Cute Card Thursday - pink and grey

Charisma - anything new- the stamps were a gift from my Dad a couple of years ago and I'm sad to say this is the first time I have used them - shame on me!

I hope you enjoy this card....thanks for looking!

The Need to Craft!

I really felt like I needed to craft tonight. I just wanted to play....so I checked out so of this week's challenges. They are just so much fun!

Anyway, I started out with the sketch from Papertake Weekly. Then I decided to try and incorporate a couple of other challenges. I chose:

My Grafico - incorporated yellow

Crafty Creations - used 3 different textures (glitter cardstock, heavy cardstock, design paper

which was then embossed with my cuttlebug)

Your Next Stamp - Flower is a stamped image which I then colored with chalks (and paper

embossed as noted above)

Just Buggin - Happy Birthday was cut from Wild Card

That's all for now. Thanks for looking!

I made this card for my friend's b-day. Also happens that it fits for a couple of this week's challenges:

Creative Belli - glitter and rhinestones

Incy wincy - cake = sweet treat

Stamp scrap - Celebration

Crafty Ann's Challenge

My 2010 card is using my brand new Cuttlebug....just got this fun new toy for Christmas! This card is just using embossing, but on my Treasure Hunt layout I also used the die cut feature of the Cuttlebug.

SOUS Challenge - 1/8/10

Here is my take on the challenge. My best friend sent me on a Treasure Hunt on Christmas Day to search for the clock she had purchased for my bedroom. It was so much fun! Little tags (which are my journaling blocks) with hints on where to search next.

I've used two Cricut cartridges in this layout...Graphically Speaking for the "It's About TIME" clock and Storybook for the letters and frames.

For the flourishes I used my Cuttlebug.
